Earlier today, Leeds United’s Under 23 side were back in action for Carlos Corberan and we made the trip to Hull City in search of another three points at that level.
It was a poorer performance than we have been used to from our next generation, but there were some positives and one of those was Luke Ayling getting 71 minutes under his belt in the game as he continued his recovery from his injury. We did, however, lose 2-1 as Hull came from behind to take the victory after Olly Casey connected with a Mats Bogusz delivery to open the scoring.
This isn’t about the game though, it concerns the release of the team sheet.

Social media manager Craig Wilson won himself some more fans as he barbed about the ‘experienced’ lineup and specifically referenced Luke Ayling’s first team experience, and plenty of Leeds fans were quick to cotton on that it was a dig at Watford for how they approached their heavy 6-0 defeat in our last game.

Reacting to the cheeky dig, well, it pleased plenty.
This is the kind of pettiness that keeps me going.
I love it.
